How to make a liquid Multipurpose soap.

LIQUID MULTIPURPOSE SOAP
APPARATUS
2 plastic containers
A wooden mixing rod.
A weighing balance
A heater

INGREDIENTS           QUANTITY                                                

Sodium lauryl ether sulfate (ungerol) 22.8g
Sodium chloride. 22.8g
Cocodiethanolamide (ufacid) 22.8g
Water soluble dye 1.84g
Benzalkonium or Formalin. 0.92g
Perfume. 1.84g
Boiled water 927g
Gelcid and gel soap activators. Optional

Total ingredients 1000g
Approximately 1 litre.
Specific gravity = 1+ or + 0.1

Procedure
1) Boil 927 g of water (heat for 15 minutes) to kill bacteria.
2) Put ungerol and salt in to a basin and mix thoroughly until the salt is completely dissolved.
3) Add 185.4g of boiled water into the mixture and stir until the ungerol and salt mixture dissolves.
4) Add ufacid, formalin and fragrance (perfume) in the mixture.
5) Dissolve the water soluble dye in 141.6g of water in a different container and stir until it forms a uniform solution.
6) Add the remaining 600g of water stir and allow it to settle
7) The detergent is now ready for packing.

The cost of production ranges between kshs 400 to kshs 500 for a volume of 20 litres.
