Classes and Types of Paints.

There are different classes and types of paints depending on their usage and material used to manufacture them,if you are looking forward to start a hardware or an auto paints then you should first learn on the different classes and types of paints so that you can be able to stock the right product.

AUTOMOTIVE PAINTS

Automotives paints are used on vehicles.

There are 4 classes of paints that can be applied on vehicles,the classes include:

Basecoat (polyurethane based) : Best for small cars and SUVs.

Nitrocellulose paints : Can used both on furnitures and vehicles, good for Lorries and Matatus.

First dry paints (Alkyd based) : Can be used for both metal works and vehicles, it's good for Lorries.

DECORATIVE PAINTS.

Used on furnitures.

They include:

2K Polyurethane woodseal : Applied on wooden floor,good for places with heavy traffic.

1K Polyurethane woodseal : Applied on timber to give a clear glossy finish.

Wood Varnish : Applied on timber to give a moderate glossy finish.

Clear Lacquer : A first drying nitrocellulose based clear paint,gives a glossy finish.

Clear Matt : A first drying nitrocellulose based clear, gives a matt finish.

Nitrocellulose Paints : Pigmented paints,comes in all colours of your choice.

ARCHITECTURAL PAINTS

Applied on houses,buildings and roads.

They include:

Emulsion paints : Used as an undercoat.

Vinylmatt : Used a topcoat to give a matt finish.

Silkmatt : Its an interior paint,used as a top coat to give a glossy finish.

Weather Guard Emulsion : An exterior paint, have a high resistance for weathering.

Gloss paints : Used for both metal works and as top coat in buildings.

Road Marking Paints : Used on roads.
